Launched in the Fall of 2020, the DBW Wine Club brings its members the joy of exploring the vast world of wine through a monthly collection of sustainably farmed and artistically made wines. We are fortunate to have access to, and on a daily basis taste some truly incredible wines, and all we can ever think about is how is just how badly we want to share them with our wonderful customers, so we started the DBW Wine Club! The first five years of the DBW Wine Club has introduced us to everything from unique wines from lesser known wine regions, to old world classics, beautiful holiday dinner wines, porch pounders, celebratory bubbles, seasonal rosé, and even some fun and funky natural wines. With the move to our new location in the heart of Del Ray, Alexandria, we could not be more excited for the relaunch of our DBW Wine Club and to finally have the space to have more ‘Members Only’ events and classes.

So let’s raise a glass and give a toast to the new DBW and the return of monthly wine club fun!  

So what is the DBW Wine Club? and what can you expect each month?

To begin with, this is not the kind of wine club you've likely seen a sponsored ad for on social media. One that promises to deliver the perfect value wine for you based on an algorithm developed by a computer.  As cool as a computer picking wines sounds, it’s just not what we are necessarily interested in starting.  The DBW Wine Club, rather, is more of a conversation and a mutual exploration of the continuously evolving world of wine with our customers.  Each month the wines will have a specific theme to the selections with information and tasting notes for reference. The one constant will always be the quality of the wines. We treasure responsibly farmed, smaller production wines, not science project wines produced for profit.  Members are encouraged to provide feedback on the wines and there is a DBW Wine Club Members Only Blog that provides additional information about each months wines. 

There are three different tiers of the DBW Wine Club to choose from, all of which feature (depending on the months theme) a revolving mix of either red, white, rosé, orange, or sparkling wine. For the adventurous wine enthusiasts, we now offer a ‘Low Intervention’ / ‘Natural’ wine tier. For the slightly less adventurous, we even offer a ‘White Wine Only’, ‘Red Wine Only’, or a seasonal ‘Rosé Wine Only’ option.

BILLING / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

DBW Wine Club members will be charged on the 1st of the month and the wines will be ready for pickup during the second week of the month.  Because of the ever changing delivery schedules of distributors, we may not be able to get all the wines in stock for wine club members by the 1st of each month, so we appreciate a few days to make sure all the wines are available before pickup or delivery.  Each month an email will be sent to members letting you know when the wines are ready for pickup.
